The conference is directed at young people interested in the field of biotechnology. Hard – working, ambitious and full of involvement youngsters who produce many innovative ideas. Unfortunately, this is not enough. Transferring ideas from academic centers into industry is complicated and meets numerous obstacles.

The series of lectures will show how to cope with problems in setting up new biotechnology business or spin off – spin out companies. Moreover, everyone will be welcome to participate in the workshops about body language, effective ideas, proper CV preparation and intellectual property law. We also make up a contest for the best students’ project with industrial potential. We would also like to conduct a debate “How to improve the transfer of ideas and concepts from academic centers to biotechnology business” in which scientists working in research centers, workers and owners of biotechnology companies will take part.

After the debate, the audience will be given an opportunity to discuss with debate participants.

BioBusiness Competition – International BioBusiness Contest On Bioforum 2010

Competiton is directed at students, alumns, doctorate and young researchers in the field of biotechnology, pharmacy, life science and related, who has an idea for own biobusiness. There is no need for specific implementation characteristic or business plan. Condition to aply is free of charge registration at www.bioforum.pl (bookmark COMPETITION). Deadline is 15th April 2010. Six best projects will be invited for final, which will be carried out 20th May 2010 in Łódź at Bioforum. For first 3 person we have provided attractive awards – 2-3 months internship in British biotechnology companies. Other finalist will receive notebooks.

The conference is organized on Central European Business Forum of Biotechnology & Innovative BioEconomy. The entrance is free.
